Apple’s new TV app, which is set to be released in December, is currently being rolled out to customers in the United States who are running the tvOS beta.
“Using apps on Apple TV, iPhone and iPad has become the primary way for so many of us to watch television,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services. “The TV app shows you what to watch next and easily discover TV shows and movies from many apps in a single place.”
Several users took to Twitter to let us know that the app is beginning to roll out to those running the tvOS 10.1 beta. However, it seems to be rolling out slowly as some users have it while others don’t.
I’ve personally seen the app show up on my Apple TV and have been using it for a bit. The most annoying thing has to be the remap of the TV button on the Siri remote. However, that can be adjusted in the settings to revert back to the old function.
