Apple Granted Patent To Allow Apple Pencil To Work With A Mac’s Trackpad

Today Apple has been granted a patent that would allow the Apple Pencil to be used with a Mac’s trackpad.

Originally filed back in 2014, and published as of May this year, the patent does more interesting things than what the current Pencil is capable of. Which means a new revision for it should be coming soon. The patent details using the Pencil as an air mouse and a joystick.

As always, take Apple patents with a grain of salt. Just because there’s a patent for it doesn’t mean it’ll be coming to fruition anytime soon, if ever.
