A video of what is said to be the rear shell for the rumored 5.5-inch iPhone 6 has been shared by seri a leakers Nowhereelse.fr. The French blog also states that Apple will use the ‘iPhone Air’ moniker for the device when it is launched.
We have seen a number of part leaks for the 4.7-inch version of the next generation iPhone but parts from the highly anticipated 5.5-inch version have been relatively few and far between. There have been mixed reports as to whether the larger iPhone 6 will ship alongside its 4.7-inch counterpart or whether its launch would be later in the year.
The shell in NWE’s video, above, is similar in design to what we’ve seen from the 4.7-inch version with a slimmer profile, rounded edges, relocated sleep/wake button and antenna bands.
Apple has confirmed its media event for September 9 and has already begun preparations at its Flint Center venue. It is expected that Apple will unveil the iPhone 6 (in one or two sizes), wearable ‘iWatch’ device, mobile payments system and more on that date.
