There have been plenty of leaks this week from Taiwanese news outlets, and today is no exception. TechNews is reporting today that the new iPad Air will feature 2GB of RAM, double the current 1GB. If you’re an iPad Mini fan, don’t get your hopes up though, the outlet is saying that the RAM increase will only be found on the Air, with the Mini remaining at a gigabyte. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen the iPad get a RAM boost, as the original had a mere 256MB, doubling in size nearly each year.

The report also sheds some light on possible iWatch specs. The report details the iWatch to feature 512MB of RAM, the same as the Galaxy Gear 2. It also mentions that the iWatch will have 8GB of internal storage.

An updated line of iPads are expected to be unveiled on September 9th, the same date as the iPhone 6’s expected announcement. Previous reports have indicated that the updated iPad line will feature TouchID capabilities, a new, A9 processor, and more RAM.
