New renderings allegedly from iPhone manufacture Foxconn claim to detail the iPhone 6 4.7″ and 5.5″ models dimensions and weight. The renderings, found by French site iGen, also seem to confirm the raised camera that we’ve seen in previous reports.
The photos detail the two device models as N61 for the 4.7″ model and N56 for the 5.5″. For the N61, the claimed dimensions are 138.14 mm x 97.00mm x 6.9 mm. For comparison, the iPhone 5s’ dimensions are 123.8 mm x 58.6 mm x 7.6 mm. That would put the iPhone 6 at 0.7 mm thinner than the already thin iPhone 5s.
The N56, the N61’s bigger brother, is listed at being 158.07 mm × 77.79 mm × 7.1 mm. That makes it just a hair thicker than the 4.7″ model at just 0.2 mm. For comparison, the Galaxy Note 3, also a 5.5″ phablet, comes in at 151.2 mm x 79.2 mm x 8.3 mm.
If you look at the photos, you can see that the weight of the 4.7″ model is listed as “unknown”. When it comes to the 5.5″ model, things change a little. The larger device has two prototypes listed, the first weighing 168.5g with the second weighing 184.6g. It’s a little fuzzy as to why there’s such a huge discrepancy between the two prototypes, but we can’t help but wonder what specific components prototype 2 has that prototype 2 doesn’t…
All these questions and more will be answered on September 9th, the iPhone 6’s expected reveal date.
