According to John Paczkowski of Re/code, Apple has plans to announce its entry into the wearable technology market during the rumored September 9th event. He also claims it will be announced alongside 2 iPhone models, which could very well be the rumored 4.7 and 5.5-inch models. In the report, Paczkowski referred to the new tech as a “wearable,” which could leave the impression that it won’t be called “iWatch.”
We’ve seen a fair share of iWatch rumors as of late, and it would come as no surprise if Apple unveils it during the event. As you may know, Tim Cook hinted earlier this year that Apple would enter new product categories this year. However, it is quite interesting that there haven’t been any leaks pointing to the new iWatch, we’ve only heard rumors at this point.
Paczkowski has a fairly good track record when it comes to reporting Apple rumors, so this news carries a bit of weight with it. What do you think of his claim? Will we see the iWatch (or whatever it ends up being called) alongside 2 iPhones on September 9th? Let us know in the comments, or Tweet me @DarrenLinkNPark.
