WWDC is less than 2 weeks away, where we expect to be seeing iOS 8 and the next version of OS X shown off, and possibly some new hardware, but that’s unrelated. The iPhone 6 is almost taking up all the news from WWDC coming soon, with mockups flying all around the internet. Sonny Dickson, who is known for having shown off both very reputable and very way off leaks in the past, has his own mockup model of the iPhone 6, and has decided to show it compared to the previous iPhone models. All the previous iPhone models.
As you can tell from the pictures, the iPhone 6 mockup is definitely bigger than previous iPhones, and fits right in with all the other mockups and rumors we have been hearing. Which, if you ask me, is unfortunate, because I’m not the biggest fan of the design (that protruding camera? Ew). Rumors have been all over the place on whether or not this is actually what the device is going to look like, so we will have to wait, as usual, until around September until we find out. More images of the iPhone 6 mockup compared to other iPhones are available on his site.
Also shown off in pictures today is the aluminum model that case manufacturers have been using in order to get an accurate model of what the iPhone 6 is supposed to look like. Of course, it isn’t confirmed that this is what the device will look like, but that hasn’t stopped case manufacturers before. Case companies are always known to “leak” the next iPhone’s design by going off of others leaks of what the device is supposed to look like.
This is just an aluminum model with holes and indentations that factories could use in order to mold the cases around. Case companies always try to have them ready so that they can be first to launch, however it has happened before where the leaks were completely wrong. You can check out some more pictures of the model below, as well as a few more of the iPhone 6 mockup from Sonny Dickson, below.
What do you think? Are you a fan of the new design? Or are you hoping this is all fake? Let us know in the comments, or tweet me @TiP_Kyle.
