iPhone 6 renderings purport 6c plastic design

Recently, MacRumors posted renderings of what the iPhone 6 could look like, based on leaked schematics. Now, the same designer has offered up some awesome renderings of what the iPhone 6 could looked like, but based on the iPhone 5c, rather than the 5s. The renderings are very interesting because as we know, last year Apple released the iPhone 5s and the 5c, a premium device, and a less powerful device. With that in mind, it’s highly possible that Apple again has plans to release a premium device and a more affordable one, so renderings of a “c” device as well as an “s” device are somewhat appropriate.

As you can see, these renderings are essentially an enlarged version of the iPhone 5c. Yet it is cool to consider what a larger iPhone would look like based on the designs of the iPhone 5c. With rumors of both a 4.7 and 5.5-inch device, it’s very difficult to imagine in just what configuration Apple would release two devices of different sizes, whilst also conforming to the recent pattern of two new devices.

Taste wise, I’m not sure if I am so keen on the larger, plastic, colored device shown here. Personally, I would much prefer Apple’s larger device to resemble a more premium form factor, such as that of the iPhone 5s. Considering the rendering of a plastic iPhone with a larger form factor does raise questions over just how many devices Apple will release, and in what form and configuration. These renderings are very interesting, and we can only hope that further rumors and revelations will reveal to us what we can expect come Apple’s release of the next iPhone, which we would expect to occur in the Fall.
