Office for iPad, as well as Enterprise Mobility Suite, expected from Microsoft tomorrow

MSOffice

Fans of Microsoft’s Office productivity suite are likely in for some good news come tomorrow. The software giant is expected to officially announce its Office for iPad app tomorrow, which has been rumored for quite some time. In addition, the company is rumored to be also launching its Enterprise Mobility Suite alongside Office.

EMS is a service that provides IT managers with software that allows them to track devices launched in the field, and EMS will reportedly be supported on Windows, Android, and iOS devices. While this isn’t major news for the common consumer, companies hoping to use Microsoft’s Office on tablets and other mobile devices will likely be very happy to see this inclusion in the rumored announcement tomorrow to help them manage up to thousands of devices all from a remote location.

The idea of Office for iPad is extremely exciting, and as a college student, means that my iPad may become even more helpful in the classroom than it currently is. Are you hoping to see the official Office for iPad app launch tomorrow, and if so what do you plan to use it for? Drop your comments below and let us know what you’re thinking!

Pages, Numbers, and Keynote are good enough for me.

As a college student, I believe microsoft should make office for iPad free and not charge a monthly/ yearly subscription like they currently do.
