High-profile iOS jailbreaker known as ‘winocm’ has confirmed in a tweet that he will be taking a job at Apple later this year.
I figured now is the right time to say this, I will be working at Apple starting later this year.

When reached for comment, the 17-year-old hacker declined to elaborate on what his new role at Apple would entail, or indeed provide his real name.
Although winocm was not involved with the iOS 7 jailbreak, he has a wealth of experience in jailbreaking earlier versions of the operating system which will no doubt make him a valuable asset to Apple.
Starting after the launch of the iPhone 4s, winocm has been heavily involved in the jailbreak scene and recently helped put out a jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3-6.1.5.
Jailbreakers joining Apple is not entirely unheard of. In 2011, famed JailbreakMe creator Nicholas Allegra (Comex) joined Apple as an intern, although he left a year later and has not been on the jailbreak scene since.
