Otterbox releases new, slim Symmetry Series for iPhone 5/5s/5c available early Spring [CES 2014]

Otterbox is well-known for creating some of the best and most popular protective cases for iPhone and other smartphones. Often times with series’ like Defender, Armor and Commuter, there is considerable bulk added to your iDevice. This is often a compromise many will take as a given, considering just how protective they are. This time out, things are different.

The new Symmetry Series for iPhone 5/5s and iPhone 5c has been designed to offer protection against daily life, without adding any major bulk to your device. Like many cases, it’s made from two different materials: A strong, hard polycarbonate outer shell blended with a synthetic rubber interior. This particular rubber has been designed with honeycomb coring to ensure it offers great shock-absorption properties.

Unlike a lot of other Otterbox cases, it doesn’t cover your iPhone’s screen. Instead, it has a slightly raised beveled edge which acts as a buffer should you drop your iPhone face-down on the floor.

The iPhone 5s model of the Symmetry series will cost between $39.95 and $44.95, and will be available in 12 different color combinations, including 4 patterned options. Choices are a little more limited for the iPhone 5c as it only comes in 4 colors for $39.95.

There’s no specific launch date. All we know is that the new series is available from “Early Spring.” To find out more or to register your interest in the cases, head on over to Otterbox’s Symmetry Series splash page.

This series is so cool. I am fascinated by it already. Look at its look and the material, it’s simply amazing. I would love to know when it’s gonna launch and how much it’s gonna be. At the moment I’m using an external battery charger(RavPower 14000mAh) and I’d love to replace it with this Otterbox series.
