Infinity Blade III updated with…Keanu Reeves?

Yes, you read the title correct. No, it’s not April Fools Day. The developers of Infinity Blade III, Chair Entertainment, have partnered with the new film that Keanu Reeves plays in, 47 Ronin. The application now includes a new ClashMob which will allow player to defeat a new boss and get his sword as a reword; the new boss is the Samurai Brute from the movie. For more explanation, here is how Chair describes the new level:

Kicking off Friday, December 13, and running through Tuesday, December 24, the 47 Ronin ClashMob invites gamers and moviegoers to join forces in an effort to defeat the imposing Samurai Brute before he appears in the film on December 25. If the Mob is successful, they’ll be rewarded with the Brute’s sword, which will be added to their in-game arsenal for future battles. This unique challenge is the only opportunity players will have to obtain this exclusive weapon!

47 Ronin stars a half-Japanese and half-British named Kai, played by Reeves. He joins a group named the ronin which is looking to take revenge on Lord Kira, the person that killed their master. The movie is scheduled to open on Christmas here in the US. If you want to get in on the game and try to get the Samurai Brute’s sword, head on over to the App Store and download Infinity Blade III if you haven’t already, available to download for $6.99: Infinity Blade III.
