pebble4Pebble, the smartwatch that I recently reviewed and said is totally awesome, is on sale at Best Buy and Amazon right now. Pebble held its own Black Friday weekend sale which extended through Cyber Monday and discounted the popular wearable technology product to $120, but now Best Buy and Amazon are also discounting the smartwatch to that same $120. That’s right, you can get an awesome accessory that you will love for $30 or 20% off. Not bad.

Personally I’ve not seen any bigger discount than this on the smartwatch, and if you are on the fence about picking this up I highly recommend it, as if you are anything like me, you won’t be disappointed. I love my Pebble, and use it everyday. The battery life is pretty good for what it is (a Bluetooth connected watch), lasting anywhere from 5-7 days. I haven’t had to charge mine in any less than 6 days, and I’m constantly getting notifications whether it be iMessage, email, Twitter, Facebook, or some other application or service.

Pebble no longer has it discounted on its own getpebble.com site, so if I were to assume, this sale is simply because of the upcoming holiday season and will go away within a matter of time. If you are looking for a smartwatch that is going to work well with the iPhone, this is the only real option at the moment, and it is by no means a bad option. The developer support of Pebble is great, and (in case I haven’t said it enough) I love mine. You can check it out at Best Buy here: Pebble.

What do you think? Are you going to pick up one of these? Still on the fence about the Pebble? Let us know in the comments, or tweet me @TiP_Kyle.

The fact that Pebble made it into stores around the globe is amazing to me! I remember when they were just getting out on KickStarter.

I was skeptical about Smart Watches, until I read about this one on Pebbles site.  I realized that they do have some very practical uses, and are not just a toy.  So, when this sale came along, I jumped (I suddenly had some extra money to spend), and got the black Pebble for $120.00 on amazon.com.  Its a good thing I did, because they were sold out of black ones at that price in a matter of hours.

It will be nice to be able to glance at notifications easily without pulling out my phone constantly to check the screen.  Also, it will be very useful for fitness.

    Waiting for the iWatch.

DavidJacobsI can understand that, but you may have a long wait.  Besides, as several reviews have said, the Pebble is very much an iOS device.  Yes, it does work with Android too (and quite well), but iOS compatibility is now better than Android.  I am unsure if Apple could come up with a better device.  One thing I’ve read about a possible Apple watch is near field wireless charging.  If Apple can do that, and still keep the price near the Pebble watch, then I am sold.

I spent my money on the indiegogo campaign for the Kreyos Meteor Smartwatch, for only $100 at the time… It does have a built in microphone and speaker, so it’ll be interesting to see how it compares to the Pebble when it comes out (hopefully) in late January

Interesting, my dad ordered the Kreyos too. He eagerly anticipates it.
