Apple’s iPhone adverts are iconic, recognizable and normally emotion-driven. This advert, on the other hand, is the complete opposite. I have no idea what it was filmed on, but I’m pretty sure there are no trained actors, lighting technicians or camera operators involved in any way. That said, looks like the editor has some good knowledge on how to use iMovie, but no clue as to what makes a classy transition between scenes. Still, there’s something about the fake iPhone 5c ad that makes me smile. It’s so bad, it’s good.
As for the device itself, it runs Android 4.2 and was dubbed the ioPhone 5 by makers, Iosys. It has a 480×854 resolution display, 4GB flash storage, 512MB RAM and a 2MP camera. It also only costs 15,490 yen (around $150).
