Facebook Messenger has been updated to version 3.1 and gotten some new features, such as quick Timeline access. The application has been getting a huge push from Facebook recently, which has catapulted it into the top 5 free applications on the App Store. The App Store change log is as follows:
What’s New in Version 3.1
- Tap on someone’s profile picture in any conversation to view their Timeline or call for free.
- Bug fixes, including improved Japanese translations.
The update isn’t huge, but definitely one that adds some convenience. Facebook, as I said, has really been putting some effort behind getting users to download the Messenger application, putting banners almost everywhere you access messaging in the main Facebook applications (which can be dismissed, but are getting somewhat annoying). The application recently got a very well accepted iOS 7 redesign which even translated over to the Android version of the application. If you wish to download the free app, you can do so right here: Facebook Messenger.
What do you think? Do you like the new features? Or is there something else you wish Facebook would add? Let us know in the comments, or tweet me @TiP_Kyle.
