Since the official launch of iOS 7 along-side the new iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c, many apps have come out with beautiful redesigns that take advantage of the new flatter and more colorful look that came with the new operating system. One app that has fallen behind in the redesign race, however, has been Dropbox. While the app is nice looking, it has yet to take on the new look, and adopt the more colorful status bar (yes, that is one of the first things I notice in iOS 7 redesigned apps). Fortunately for Dropbox and iOS 7 fans everywhere, the redesign is not too far off for the iOS app.
Via its blog, Dropbox showed off what it’s been working on recently in the form of a new redesigned app. The app isn’t simply cosmetic, though, as it also brings some pretty nice features especially for its business users. The new app will give business users the ability to combine their personal and business Dropbox accounts into one account. You can still keep the files separate, but this will allow business users to view both business and personal files all in the same place, rather than having to log out, and log back in to a different account.
While the blog mainly talks about these new features, the image used is what stole the show. The screenshots shown are clearly from the iOS 7 redesign, and I must admit that it does look pretty good. I love the clean look, and this redesign is something that would make me consider switching from Box (which I use because of my school’s affiliation). The redesign looks very nice, clean, and fits in with Apple’s overall iOS 7 look, and it’s an update that I can’t wait for. What do you think of the new Dropbox for iOS 7 redesign?
