Nike’s FuelBand has often been called one of the coolest accessories with integrated apps, or appcessories as some have called them, to hit the market for the iPhone. The original FuelBand was a big hit among techies and athletes alike, and Nike announced last month the new successor to the original band, the Nike+ FuelBand SE.
The device is expected to go on sale at many retailers tomorrow, but it appears as if Apple wanted to be the first to begin offering the device. Apple’s online store now has the device listed as available to purchase, whereas Nike’s online store still has the device listed as a pre-order only option. It is also being reported that some brick-and-mortar Apple Stores are also selling the Nike+ FuelBand SE devices today.
The new version is very similar in design to the old FuelBand, but offers much better battery life thanks to the inclusion of Bluetooth 4.0. Unfortunately, this means that it will only be supported on devices that can use Bluetooth 4.0, such as the iPhone 4S and anything newer.
If you’re interested in getting your hands on the FuelBand SE a day early, head on over to your local Apple Store, or order it online through Apple’s online store.
