SEGA has announced a number of brand new titles for mobile, heading to iOS and Android in the near future!
Some of the most exciting titles include Sonic the Hedgehog 2, which is to receive and update and overhaul. According to SEGA, “Sonic Fans and newcomers alike will see Sonic the Hedgehog 2 in a brand new light”. The title will feature remastered audio, and refreshed visuals running at a cool 60 frames-per-second. The title will be released as a free update on iOS.
Also to be released is Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing Transformed, another title that builds on the success of a previous release. A fantastically enjoyable kart racing game. The title will reportedly feature “all of the competitive, fast paced, transforming action from its wildly successful console counterpart”, along with some new online racing modes, a new world tour mode and some other great improvements.
Also released on iOS will be Demon Tribe, a role-playing game set in a fantasy world threatened with demonic infestation. THe idea of the came is to capture and “fuse” demons to build the ultimate team, combining card collection, action-RPG and MOBA. SEGA will offer both cooperative and competitive online multiplayer.
The final title is Rhythm Thief & the Paris Caper. This game is a rhythm-based title where you tap to the beat, playing as Raphael, investigating the disappearance of his father, accompanied by your canine-sidekick Fondue.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 will be available on iOS next month. Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing and Demon Tribe are set to drop in the winter of 2013, whilst Rhythm Thief will be available from early next year!
