So as I’m sure you well know, yesterday Apple announced two brand new iPads. The first, the iPad Air, is the 5th generation of Apple’s 9.7 inch tablet. The Air features a slimmed down form-factor, weighing just 1 pound! It also features Apple’s 64-bit A7 processor. The second, the iPad mini, now with Retina display and the same A7 processor.
With the release of these two awesome tablets however, the price of Apple’s refurbished tablets has dropped, so if you’re looking to enter Apple’s tablet scene by purchasing an older generation model, there’s never been a better time to do so!
Apple’s 1st generation iPad mini, without the Retina display, is now retailing for $249 (16GB Wi-Fi only). A saving of $70 on the original price of the iPad mini, and a saving of $50 compared to the current retail price.
Likewise, Apple’s fourth-generation iPad, the first Retina iPad to feature the Lightning dock, is now available refurbished for $379. In comparison, the iPad Air starts at $499. If you’re looking for the 9 inch tablet, but you’re concerned about the price, the fourth generation refurbished might be a good idea!
In the UK, this means that the iPad mini is now £209 refurbished (16GB Wi-Fi). The fourth generation iPad, Wi-Fi only isn’t listed for refurbished sale. However, the fourth generation iPad with cellular (16GB) is now £379, a saving of £120. You can check out those prices here.
Apple’s fourth generation iPad, and the original iPad mini are still fantastic devices, and these savings really make them excellent value for money! If you’d like to consider this more, you can head on over Apple and check out the prices for yourself!
