UPDATE – No more liveblog (sad face):
Sadly, this year. We have been unable to find a suitable solution for live blogging. Both ScribbleLive and CoveritLive didn’t work out for us. The only available one – after trying many – was to use WordPress’ built-in solution which would mean you’d need to refresh the page all the time to see each update. That would more than likely kill our servers with the amount of traffic they’d need to deal with, and would make the entire process frustrating for you our readers and for us. You wouldn’t see updates quickly, and we wouldn’t be able to upload anything.
I apologize for this inconvenience, but, bar stumping up cash we don’t have to cover one single event, we weren’t left with a practicable solution. You can be sure we’ll have tons of reaction and news coverage of the event during and after, so be sure to stay tuned to the site for me. In the mean time, here are the best places to keep tabs on the launch event.
Apple will be live streaming video from the event here - http://www.apple.com/apple-events/october-2013
