Google Maps has been updated once again, this time with a few new improvements regarding navigation, some new languages, and the usual assortment of bug fixes. The navigation changes in this version, dubbed 2.3.4, say that it includes “Faster access to navigation, including route and traffic overview.” i personally tend to use Apple Maps for my navigation needs (yes, shocking) but have used Google Maps plenty of times, and know that having quicker access to Navigation will surely be something many users will enjoy. Here is the full changeling via iTunes:
What’s New in Version 2.3.4
● Faster access to navigation, complete with route and traffic overview
● Tips and Tricks available in the side menu
● Arabic and Hebrew now supported, including voice guidance in navigation, where available
● Bug fixes
As you can see a new feature also includes a new “Tips and Tricks” side menu that simply opens what appears to be a mobile optimized web view, as well as Arabic and Hebrew support which comes with voice navigation (where available). Alongside all of this is your usual “bug fixes” that is just under the hood things the consumer shouldn’t have really noticed, and if you did you were only one of few. The update can be downloaded here for free: Google Maps.
What do you think? Do you use Google Maps? Glad to see a navigation focused update? Let us know in the comments, or tweet me @TiP_Kyle.
