T-Mobile CEO John Legere is perhaps one of the most outspoken CEOs on social media. In addition to being entertaining on Twitter, Legere has recently looked to Twitter to get a message out: T-Mobile could be carrying iPads in stores following Apple’s October 22nd iPad event.
In a tweet sent out earlier, Legere said, “What has two thumbs and is excited for October 22nd? #thisguy.” In addition to the tweet, he also included a link to a USA Today story about the sending of invitations for Apple’s October 22nd event which is rumored to be all about iPads and new Mac hardware. The event is expected to showcase a new iPad 5 with iPad mini-like styling, as well as an iPad mini 2 with Retina display. It is also rumored that we may see the new Mac Pro shown off in more detail, as well as a new MacBook Pro lineup.
As our friends at TmoNews pointed out, T-Mobile is currently the only major carrier in the United States that does not officially support any LTE iPads, although T-Mobile SIM cards can still be used in unlocked AT&T variants.
Would you like to see new iPads come to the US’s fourth largest carrier? Leave your comments below or tweet me @TiP_Griffin. Also be sure to check out @JohnLegere for (hopefully) more hints at what to expect from T-Mobile.
