We got our first official look at two new iPhones today – the iPhone 5c and the iPhone 5s.
And we all know that new iPhones means new iPhone accessories and Apple has gone all out this time.
You get to choose from 5 colours for the new polycarbonate backed iPhone 5c. To further customise and accent your colour choice, Apple also announced an array of colourful iPhone 5c cases.
There are 6 case colours to choose from: white, pink, yellow, blue, green and black meaning that you can create up to 30 colour combinations. Each case contains cut out segments to allow the colour of your iPhone 5c to shine through. Made of soft-touch silicon, they should feel really nice and contrast with the polished plastic of the iPhone 5c and they are all microfiber lined to ensure that the phone inside looks like new. On stage, Phil Schiller said that they expect customers will buy more than one so that they can customise their look whenever they want and at only $29, you could maybe get a couple.
The new iPhone 5s doesn’t get left behind in the case space either. Apple showed off some beautifully designed leather cases for the new flagship phone.
Available in yellow, beige, blue, brown, black and special edition (RED) charity case. These look pretty spectacular and if the leather feels anything like the iPad Smart Covers, I’m sure they’ll be as luxurious as the iPhone 5s inside them. The 5s cases, priced at $39 each, look slim too so shouldn’t add too much bulk to your phone. And, of course, the microfiber lining inside will keep your iPhone 5s looking good.
Cases aren’t all we’ve seen today, though. Although not revealed at the Apple event, both the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 5c have received a new version of the classic white Apple dock. It looks almost identical to previous iterations of this dock, but contains a new Lightning connector and accommodates either the 5s or 5c. They’re priced at $29 each.
Are you planning on purchasing any of these new accessories to complement your new iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c?
