iPhone 5C and 5S demand surpasses iPhone 5 after one day of preorders

Reports from KnowYourMobile are suggesting that demand for the iPhone 5C and 5S are already greater than it was for the 5 this time last year.

Retailer Phones4U has reported that pre-registrations for info on devices is already double what it was for the iPhone. Whilst this was to be expected because Apple has launched 2 phones, it’s still astounding to see just how many people are interested in the new iPhones. It has been predicted that the handsets will break all records for pre-registration for Apple devices.

Despite the very obvious buzz, it’s important to remember that these are definitely not sales figures. It’s likely that sales will be lower than pre-registered interest.

iPhone 5C preorders went live this morning, with the unlocked 16GB 5C in Yellow already seeing increased shipping lengths in the US and Hong Kong.

Yellow is not the color that I would have thought would be most popular… maybe Apple though the same thing and didn’t plan on making as many as the other colors?

How is the 5s demand measured if you can’t pre order it?
