The iPad mini 2 has been talked about a lot since the release of the original iPad mini last year. There is one question that still lingers: will it have a Retina display or not? Well, we’d like to say yes, but that isn’t for sure yet. However, the rear casing of the iPad mini 2 has been leaked in a new video by Unbox Therapy on YouTube, and it is even compared to the brand new full-sized iPad (possibly named the iPad 5).
As you can see in the video, the iPad mini 2 casing is exactly the same dimensions-wise as the original iPad mini. This is no surprise, as it is expected that the next generation mini tablet will be the same size, with the biggest change being the addition of a Retina display. The only aesthetic difference is the fact that the Apple logo now has a mirrored finish to it, but this isn’t a huge change from the current (less shiny) logo on the iPad mini. The comparisons are especially interesting next to the fifth generation iPad, because it looks like the full sized slate will take on an almost identical (albeit much larger) shell. The cases, from a certain angle, are almost identical to one another.
