With the Apple event looming, I had it pointed out to me by a friend on Facebook that some cases are beginning to show “Size: iPhone 5C” and “For iPhone 5C” on Amazon. This isn’t too much a surprise, but obviously a lot of companies are beginning to buy into the hype enough to actually start making cases. Some of them are at least “pre-order,” which means the company could always remake the case after the device is released to make sure it fits correctly, but some of the cases you actually have within the next day.
I don’t know about you, but I think it is insane that cases makers do this; no matter how real the rumors. What if all these rumors were some part of an elaborate scheme by someone? I would personally laugh, a lot. Not only at the manufacturers for believing the rumors enough to ship these cases, but the people not knowing the difference between rumors and actually released products. Nonetheless, I think that we will see this device, eventually.
The iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S are both expected to be announced at an event next Tuesday, September 10th. Apple sent out invites for the event early today with “This should brighten everyone’s day.” No idea if that means anything, so I’ll leave the speculation up to you.
What do you think? What does the invite mean, if anything? Have you bought an iPhone 5C case in anticipation? Let us know in the comments, or tweet me @TiP_Kyle.
