While we will know the next generation of iPhone in just a few short days, what can we expect to see from Apple in the future? What will the iPhone 6 look like? What about other future devices? One of the most requested features that I’ve seen from readers of Today’s iPhone includes a larger screen. While I personally don’t have a problem with the current four inch screen on the iPhone 5, some would like their screens to compete with the likes of the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S 4. Today, The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Apple is currently testing devices with substantially larger screens.
According to their sources, WSJ claims that Apple is currently testing numerous different sized screens, ranging from 4.8 inches all the way up to 6 inches. This would most likely be to compete against companies such as Samsung, which just announced its new Galaxy Note 3 with a 5.8 inch screen.
While this may sound like exciting news, it is worth noting that this does not mean that we will see a larger iPhone soon. It doesn’t even mean that we’ll ever see these devices coming to the market. It has been rumored for years that Apple would make an even larger iPhone, and it has also been reported that Apple has been testing a 5 inch screen for over two years now. So if you’re hoping to hold off for a 5 inch iPhone 6, I wouldn’t hold my breath. While the company may actually be testing out these devices, it doesn’t mean that we will ever see them officially launched.
What would your perfect sized iPhone screen be? Would you like to see something like a 4.8 inch screen, a 6 inch phablet, or do you like the current 4 inch screen size? Drop a comment in the comments section below and let us know!
