Apple has been expanding its retail presence recently, and the company is always looking for good ideas of new locations for stores. The Cupertino company is currently talking to the Westfield Group about the possibility of putting an Apple Store in the new World Trade Center shopping mall. While this isn’t much of a surprise, as Apple has been expected to open a store here since 2011.
Westfield is said to have signed a lease with Victoria’s Secret — and is said to be close to deals with dozens of retailers, including Apple, J. Lindberg, Tory Burch, Theory, Michael Kors, Swatch and Abercrombie & Fitch, as well as several glamorous international brands.
While it may not be much of a surprise, I still think it is cool to see Apple going into such an iconic location and mall. What do you think, readers? Do you like this move by Tim Cook and Co?
