YouTube app gets revamped UI in update

YouTube has just received a major update to version 2.0. Just like the 5.0 version for Android, YouTube 2.0 for iOS brings with it a completely revamped user interface and some awesome new features. The highlight of the new application, aside from the update UI, is the ability to continue watching a view while you search for the next one. All you have to do is drag down on the video and it will be moved down to the bottom right corner. To bring it back up to full size, simply take it and drag it up. Done with the video? Swipe it to the left or right and it fades away. The video above shows just that, it is the same process on both Android and iOS. It’s pretty awesome, and here is the complete changlog:

What’s New in Version 2.0

* Watch a video while searching for the next one, just like picture-in-picture
* Search for playlists and use the “play all” button for endless entertainment

That change log doesn’t do it much justice, however, as the UI has been completely revamped in the new update. You will see it now includes a Google Now style “card” interface, something Google has been shifting its entire design philosophy towards over recent months. If you are interested in grabbing the new app, you can do so here for free: YouTube.
