Skype has updated its iOS apps to allow support for HD video calling.
The update allows users to make HD quality video calls, alongside a bunch of more general improvements to call quality and stability. I’ve never found Skype’s connectivity or quality to be particularly consistent, so its awesome to see Skype making steps to improve that.
Sadly, HD video calling is only available on the iPhone 5 and the iPad 4, and of course, the quality of your call, and the consistency of your connection will still be based primarily on your location and the quality of your service.
Also in the update is a redesigned country code picker on the dial pad.
