Earlier this week we heard that T-Mobile’s US retail staff had been told they can’t take any vacation or days off between the 20-22 of September. Since it was revealed that Apple would be holding the iPhone’s launch event on September 10th, a release on the 20th was always on the cards. T-Mobile’s vacation blackout gave further credence to that belief.
Today, BGR has heard from its sources that AT&T will also be issuing a vacation blackout on that weekend. It’s not unusual for this to happen, and since AT&T has done the same every year since the original iPhone, it looks very likely that Apple’s next generation smartphones will be arriving right at the beginning of fall. Exactly as planned. There hasn’t been any confirmation from the carrier yet, and we don’t expect to hear any spokesperson confirm or deny any rumors regarding an Apple product launch.
