New crowd funding project allows you to control LED strip with your smartphone

Ever wanted to control a 10 foot long LED strip using nothing but your smartphone? Your dream has just come true. Chameleon, the company behind the project, has launched the project on crowd funding site “FundAnything.” What it does, as you can see in the video above, is allow you to change the LED lights on a 10 foot strip to almost any color you could possibly imagine. To be honest, it looks really cool, and the installation instructions are simple as can be:

Simplest installation that can be done by your great-great grandmother:

1.  Stick the self adhesive LED strip to any surface. You can cut it to any length!

2.  Connect the Chameleon controller and plug it into the power outlet

3.  Download the free app from from Google Play or App Store (iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPad 3, iPad4, iPad mini)

4.  Pair the Chameleon controller with your phone  (You have to do it only once)

…then just start managing the colors in your home or in your office.

If you are interested in this project you can check it out here: FundAnything. There are different packs ranging from $10 to $295. Watch the video above for some more information on the Chameleon LED strip.

What do you think? Are you going to pick one up? What would you use it for? Let us know in the comments, or tweet me @TiP_Kyle.
