Last week BGR reported that beta 6 of iOS 7 would land this week. Turns out, Apple spoiled the site’s run of predictions by releasing a bug-fix beta last week. The site reports that it was an emergency bug-fixing download, and still maintains that what is now the 7th beta, is still on target to be released later today. Monday is a popular day for beta releases, and with Apple set to announce and release the official version in a few weeks, its timing does make sense.
We are told by our trusted sources that Apple has once again seeded a new build of iOS 7 to partners, and that it should be released to developers later today. We can confirm the build number is much higher than the previous beta, and we would assume that iOS 7 beta 7 should be distributed and made available for developers around 1:00 p.m. EDT, as usual.
And it could very well be that this – beta 7 – will be the last beta version before the GM (Gold Master) lands in a couple of weeks. That, of course, is speculation, but it is rare for Apple to release any more than 7 betas before GM is seeded to developers.
We’ll be keeping an eye out for its availability and let you know if/when beta 7 lands.
