Rumors are beginning to float around that iOS 7 could be taken to beta 5 as soon as today. Why so early? Well, Apple was on a role with releasing a new iOS beta every two weeks on Monday, then was disrupted by the intrusion that occurred to the iOS developer center a week or two ago. Well, according to a few rumors, Apple could be looking to get back on the track it was on by releasing a new iOS 7 beta today, bringing it to beta 5. This would make sense, as it would mean releasing the GM around the week of September 2nd, with the release of iOS 7 and most likely a new iPhone coming in the next week; which follows along nicely with previous rumors.
If Apple were to release iOS 7 beta 5 today, it would be around 1PM EST, as is the usual (use Google to find your time based on that one, if you don’t already know it). It is likely that OS X Mavericks would see developer preview 5 later in the day as well, as usually it is iOS 7 beta earlier, then developer preview for OS X later in the day. The last developer preview has been out for 2 weeks, so that is still on the track it was before. Keep it locked on Settings > General > Software Update to see if this becomes a reality.
What do you think? Expecting beta 5 today? Do you think Apple would release it only a week after beta 4? Let us know in the comments, or tweet me @TiP_Kyle.
