In typical Jim Dalrymple fashion, an article has just been published over on The Loop that is quick, to the point, and dismisses the rumors earlier today of an iPad refresh coming alongside that of the iPhone refresh expected on September 10th. The rumor was saying that Apple may use the rumored event next month to not only announce a new iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C but also a new iPad and iPad mini. Dalrymple simply had this to say:
He is extremely well known for being spot on in the past for different rumors similar to this, and has already given a “Yep” of approval for the September 10th date being set as the next iPhone’s introduction. Apple is expected to release the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C at this event. The iPhone 5S, as I’m sure you all know by now, is expected to come in a new champagne color option, as well as have a fingerprint scanner below the home button. The iPhone 5C is expected to be the new “budget” iPhone that has been rumored to be coming for years, and has seen leaks of colors including blue, red, white, yellow, and green.
As for the new iPads, not quite as much is known but there is still a few leaks that have come out, including a leak of the front glass panel earlier today. The iPad 5, as it’s being referred to, is expected to have thinner side bezels similar to the iPad mini, and also a back similar to that of the mini as well. The next iPad mini is expected to sport a Retina display, however there have been some conflicting reports about that.
What do you think? Are you hoping for new iPads soon? Wondering what will come in September? Let us know in the comments, or tweet me @TiP_Kyle.
