Google Drive update brings ability to open links in Chrome and Safari

Google_Drive_Logo_lrg-580x461If you are a Google Drive user that has been frustrated with the iOS application’s inability to open links in Chrome and/or Safari, today’s your lucky day. An update for Google Drive to version 1.5.0 has just been pushed to the App Store, bringing with it this specific ability. Of course, this also comes with its helping of stabilization and bug fixes, as does most app updates. If you’re also a big Google Sheets user, then you will be given the ability to add rows and columns using a “+” button that has been added. Here is the change log:

What’s New in Version 1.5.0

* Clicking on links from within files gives you the option to open in Chrome and Safari

* Insert rows and columns using the “+” button in Google Sheets

* Stabilization & bug fixes

If you are interested in checking out the update, or the application in general if you have yet to already, you can do so here: Google Drive for iOS.

What do you think? What is still missing from the app? Anything you are waiting on? Let us know in the comments, or tweet me @TiP_Kyle.
