Twitter’s #music app has officially been updated today, and it includes a big new feature. Twitter #music now includes genres to allow users to discover specific types of music, rather than having to look through all music to find certain genres.
In addition to the new genre feature, #music also allows Rdio authentication to occur within the app, rather than requiring the user to authenticate their Rdio information in Safari. Twitter has also been listening to user feedback and has also eliminated many bugs within the app. Below is the full changelog for version 1.1 of Twitter #music.
What’s New in Version 1.1
Genres! Get hip-hoppy or get your metal on or get your dance beats grooving with Twitter #music genres! Tons of genres plus Superstars, Popular, Emerging, Unearthed and Hunted charts.
This build also includes:
• Fixes for some scenarios that could cause tracks to be unavailable.
• Rdio authentication now happens in-app, rather than kicking you out to Safari.
• We have stomped many bugs so that you don’t have to
If you’re interested in checking out Twitter #music or if you want to grab the update, check out the App Store. I for one am not a Twitter #music user, but the new improvements to the app seem like big steps for users of the app.
