Apple’s iPad mini will be released in Brazil on June 25 (next Tuesday).
The iPad mini was released in October 2012, but has not yet been released in Brazil because of issues with local regulations and high import tax. Despite this, Apple has finally managed to make a release viable, and will begin accepting online orders at 8am local time. Prices will not be revealed until release day, but due to the afore mentioned problems, will most likely be much higher than what you might pay in the USA.
It’s astonishing to think that Brazilian customers will have to pay substantially more for a device which is assembled in their own country. Having said that, Brazil is proving to be an emerging market for Apple, and so its likely that Apple will still see relatively successful sales in the country.
