Apple opens Russian online Store

Apple has just opened its official Russian Online store.

Last August, we brought you news that Apple was planning to sell its products directly into Russia, and now that dream has become a reality. Up until now, Apple’s products had only been available to Russian customers through 3rd party retailers, with the added annoyance of a hefty mark up price.

Apple’s new store will offer all of its currently available products at more competitive prices, along with full customer support.

The news is a clear sign of Apple taking over the world expanding into new territories, particularly emerging markets such as Brazil, China and indeed Russia, where smartphone uptake is beginning to expand in the same way it did in more westernized and developed countries 4 or 5 years ago.
