Yahoo! Mail is possibly one of the best looking email clients offered by the email provider itself. And, the minimalist purple app has now been updated with even more functionality. With its most recent updated – which landed on the App Store today – it now offers the ability to print emails and attachments wirelessly via AirPrint.
“What’s New in Version 1.5.3
● AirPrint: Easily print messages on your AirPrint-enabled printer, by selecting “Print” in the reply menu of a message, or via the share button in an attachment. For more information on AirPrint, you can review the Apple Support doc at http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4356
● Performance improvements and bug fixes”
If you haven’t got an AirPrint compatible printer, or an app on your desktop that makes your printer compatible, then this update won’t really make much difference to you. But, if you do, all you need to do to get it working is tap the ‘reply’ button at the bottom of the email and you’ll now see a new ‘Print’ option. For attachments you just need to open the attachment and find the ‘Print’ option within the ‘share’ menu. As with any AirPrinting, you can choose the number of copies you want, and which printer you want them sent to.
Download the app for free from the App Store if you don’t already have it installed. If you do, check for updates the regular way.
