Paper for iPad, a popular iPad drawing app made by FifteeThree, released a major update today. In version 1.3.1 of Paper, developers finally added true pinch-to-zoom functionality that allows users to zoom in on a specific region of a drawing. This is a much-needed improvement over the old zoom feature, which just zoomed in on the whole canvas.
There’s also a new “Made With Paper” gallery that highlights the great work users are creating. This live collection features the most popular drawings from the app, which are viewable by the public. FiftyThree’s developers explained the inspiration for the new gallery in an interview with The Verge:
”One of the biggest joys for us over the last year was seeing what people are making with Paper… So we decided to move our Made With Paper stream into the app for all to enjoy.”
If you’re interested, you can pick up Paper in the App Store now for free, but if you want all of the available brushes you’ll have to purchase them in-app.
