iOS 7 is coming, and with each day we get nearer to the preview at WWDC 2013, I get a little more excited at what Jony Ive and his team of software designers are working. While we’re almost convinced he’s going to flatten it out somewhat, and throw away some skeuomorphic designs, the details are sketchy at best.
On area that remains a weak point on iOS is multitasking. The dull app icon switcher hiding beneath the dock is far from intuitive and could do with a refresh. For that reason alone, Auxo has become one of the most popular jailbreak tweaks available on Cydia. It’s also the reason Ran Avni has taken a little time to publish his own iOS 7 multitasking concept.
The idea is essentially a cross between Auxo and the standard BB10 multitasking screen. It features an entire screen full of cards showing a snapshot of the last point you visited within the app, with the app icon in front of the card. Thankfully, it also gives the option to close all apps at once, something I’d now find hard to live without in Auxo.
So, what do you guys think? Would you like multitasking done this way, or does it take up too much room? Sound off in the comments or fire me a tweet: @TiP_Cam
