The American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) has produced its annual in-depth report on the state of American industry, rating customers’ happiness with their chosen devices and services. In the ‘Cellular Telephones’ category, for the second year running, Apple has finished top with a score of 81, two points down from 2012’s result. Seemingly, it’s only the second year that Apple’s iPhone has been monitored.
In second place was Motorola with a score of 77, just ahead of Nokia and Samsung. Perhaps of most concern to Apple is Sammy’s improvement from 2012 to 2013, having beaten last year’s score by 5 points. The survey itself quizzed 70,000 US citizens, making it one of the most broad ranging and in-depth studies performed on consumer happiness.
If Apple releases a cheaper plastic iPhone, do you think it’ll negatively affect the customer satisfaction scores?
