The tickets for this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference went on sale today. Then, less than two minutes later, they were gone. That’s right, in a purchasing fervor usually reserved for Jonas Brothers concerts, developers and other interested parties snatched up every WWDC seat in less than 120 seconds. Or did they…
Reportedly Apple has been calling select registered members of its developer program directly to offer a second chance to purchase tickets for WWDC 2013. According to a tweet from Red Sweater Software developer Daniel Jalkut,
“Apple is now calling some folks who didn’t get a WWDC ticket earlier. Not sure how many, but stay by your phone if you had tried and failed.”
This has also been confirmed by other devs across the web, and it’s great news. However, if you weren’t lucky enough to get tickets or a phone call from Apple, you can still check out the WWDC action online – Apple will be making video recordings of all WWDC 2013 sessions available to anyone with a registered dev account.
