Why type when you can use an Arduino and guitar

Play guitar? Do a lot of typing? Why not multitask! David Neevel, of the Wieden + Kennedy ad agency, has made something can do both at once. How’s this work? Watch the video above for the best explanation. But, in essence what happens is when you play certain notes on the guitar, the signal is sent to an Arduino which then transfers the signal to the corresponding letter to what used to be a USB keyboard. The computer sees the contraption as a simple USB keyboard, so as long as you play the right now, it will type the letters. If you are interested, head on down to the source link and check it out. It has the source code for the project and even some instructions (you definitely will need to know what you’re doing though) so you can set up your own.

What do you think? Are you going to try this? Any other projects you have done with Arduino? Let us know in the comments, or tweet me @TiP_Kyle.
