Survey: 57.5% of TiP readers thinking of switching to T-Mobile for iPhone 5/5S or 6

Screen Shot 2013-04-02 at 21.40.02As soon as T-Mobile had announced it would be selling the iPhone in the States, we decided to conduct a survey to see how many of you would think about switching carriers to take advantage of the “UNcarrier” plans. Surprisingly, many of the respondents were keen on the idea saying that they were definitely planning on it, or would consider it when the next iPhone is released. Almost 30% of readers gave a straight “Yes” whereas 28% weren’t confident enough to make that statement just yet. Just over a quarter of respondents said they definitely won’t be switching. Although no reasons were given, it’s always a safe assumption to say it’s mostly to do with coverage.

What do you think of the new T-Mobile plans and unsubsidized phone? Is it the way forward for the US’ mobile industry?

I think it is straight forward. When the math is done, one can see that it is the best deal in town provided that you will be in an area with 4G coverage.
