Heard enough about the T-Mobile and MetroPCS merger? Good, because it’s almost over. After the past month or so there have been many stepping stones crossed, including a vital approval by the FCC and another by Metro’s shareholders. Well, according to The Associated Press, the acquisition is supposed to become final after hours tonight. T-Mobile will benefit from this immensely in terms of spectrum, and hopefully will look to grow across the country to expand on its measly 7 markets right now. It also will see an increase from 34 million subscribers to 43 million with MetroPCS’s addition of 9 million users. This gain, however, won’t effect its place as 4th largest carrier in the US.
What do you think? Ready for it to close? Glad that they are merging? Let us know in the comments, or tweet me @TiP_Kyle.
