Halfbrick releases “Fish Out Of Water” game for iOS

Halfbrick, the makers of Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride, two popular iOS games, has released its new “Fish Out Of Water” game to the App Store. The basics of the game are that you launch fish with different abilities, power-ups, etc in order to get the highest time that is determined on flight time and a number of other things. Above is some video of the gameplay and an introduction of the characters. A description from TechCrunch in its review:

Imagine skipping stones in a constantly changing ocean that’s directly linked to the weather in game, only instead of stones you’ve got a variety of fish that each have slightly different abilities such as being able to fly extra far or being able to skip across the surface like mad.

Each attempt is graded by a set of judges who each look for specific things in your tosses, and doing well involves not only choosing the right fish for the weather but also throwing them appropriately to best handle the current state of your waves.

The app is available now in the App Store for $0.99 and is universal for iPhone and iPad. Get it here: Fish Out Of Water.

What do you think? Going to give it a try? Look interesting at least? Let us know in the comments, or tweet me @TiP_Kyle.

This game was just absolutely horrible. It gets boring in about 15 minutes and there’s no replay value to it.
