Adding to the data center already found in North Carolina, one that has been in construction near Reno, NV looks to be ready to light up in Reno Technology Park. This is the 4th major server farm that Apple here in the states. This building currently in place in Reno (see pictures in gallery below, via AppleInsider) has large fan vents on either side that are for the obvious cooling that will need to be supplied. AppleInsider also assumes the structure seen beside the building is a water cooling system.
The Reno center is reportedly always under watch via cameras surrounding the building, with security personnel on duty. According to “someone familiar with Apple’s plans,” the site is set to go online in the coming weeks. Apple also owns 345 acres surrounding the building that will likely be used for more server buildings and supporting structures that could include solar fields to help aid the power consumption necessary for the site to stay up and running.
What do you think? Interested in what else will be built? Wondering how many more Apple could build? Let us know in the comments, or tweet me @TiP_Kyle.
