Although most manufacturers and their merchandise were very familiar to me at CU Exposed 2013, I came across one I’d never heard of, and couldn’t for the life of me figure out why. Just from glancing at the cases, I liked what I saw. And once I’d tried seen them on iPads/iPhones, I was blown away. Inspired by the Maori culture, not only were the cases beautifully designed and well manufactured, they were incredibly protective. The reps on show took great delight in throwing their iPads (in the cases) in the air, to land without grace on the hard tiled floor. The grips inside held the iPads in place impeccably, and there’s so much padding underneath the leather that it’d be hard to think of a normal, every day situation where protection from this case wouldn’t be enough. It’s fair to say, that in my short time looking and trying them out, Maroo’s cases stole my heart and my head.
We should have some units to review in the very near future, and they did have some nylon cases as well as these leather ones. All iPad cases have the ‘SG Bumper’, a flexible but very sturdy and grippy holder for the iPad. Price wise Maroo cases range from $49.99 for iPad mini up to $99.99 for the uniquely designed Drogo for iPad 2/3/4. To check out the full range, head on over to Maroo.com.
